Job Title : Testing Engineer

Location : Pune

Education : Bachelors

Introduction:

This role spans across leading / working on multiple projects or modules and coordinating with teams & stakeholders to understand requirements, lead the delivery of Data solutions and platforms. You should guide and mentor team members and help them stay motivated and focussed. Be flexible with the scope and requirements of the role with the changing scope and needs of client deliveries.

What will you be doing ?

•    Own and manage the functional & non-functional testing activities end to end, taking responsibility for team, setting realistic expectations and delivering on them
•    Manage multiple deliveries at project and programme levels simultaneously
•    Build efficiency in testing and continuous improvement of test methods, techniques and process.
•    Develop and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy, processes and procedures for data-related applications and systems.
•    Design and implement functional and non-functional test automation frameworks
•    Develop and implement strategies to reduce test execution time and increase test accuracy
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and data scientists, to ensure effective test coverage.
•    Drive continuous improvement of test automation practices through retrospectives and knowledge-sharing sessions
•    Lead a team of test automation engineers, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices and standards
•    Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of test automation efforts through performance metrics and reporting
•    Identify and implement tools and technologies to enhance test automation efficiency and accuracy
•    Drive the adoption of DevOps practices within the test automation team
•    Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for automation within manual testing processes
•    Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and expertise in test automation.
•    Foster a culture of quality within the organization through effective test automation practices
•    Monitor and report on test automation coverage and effectiveness
•    Supporting & driving regression testing using automated regression test pack and Behavioural Development Testing methodology.
•    Liaise with Programme test team to execute and provide support during their ST, SIT, NFT, UAT, OAT & LCT test phases.
•    Proactive reporting of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement test automation standards and guidelines
•    Establishing clear roles and responsibilities of the team
•    Following established process and practices with regards to source code management and audit controls.
•    Working closely with global technology team members in other regions, participating in and contributing to technical discussions.
•    Participation in management team meetings covering overall testing status, impact & key improvements.

•    Minimum educational qualification required for this role is Bachelors

•    Strong experience in functional and non-functional testing including test strategy development, planning & execution
•    Hands-on experience in testing ETL services.
•    Sound stakeholder management skills.
•    Strong leadership and communication skills
•    Experience of communicating technical projects to non-technical stakeholders
•    Good understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle and agile methodologies.
•    Good understanding of standard message formats including ISO formats.
•    Good understanding of Behavioural Development Testing methodology.
